A University-wide research theme at the University of BristolThe size of huge data repositories such as the internet is measured in exabytes (1,000,000,000,000,000,000 bytes, about 50,000 years of DVD-quality video). Exabyte Informatics is concerned with the challenges and opportunities arising from having this unprecedented amount of data available in computer-readable form. The aim of the Exabyte Informatics research theme is to advance computing as the language of 21st century science.
The results of this research will benefit everyone who has more data than they can currently handle. To find out more about Exabyte Informatics and how you can get involved, click one of the links below.
